Diflucan
Side Effects
Diflucan can be hard on the liver. Your doctor can watch your lab results carefully for any sign of liver damage. Let your doctor know if your urine gets dark or your bowel movements get light-colored.
Diflucan can also cause kidney damage. Let your doctor know if you notice a rapid increase in your weight, or if any part of your body gets swollen.
In rare cases, Diflucan can cause a serious reaction (Stevens-Johnson syndrome) that shows up as a skin rash.Diflucan side effects are not usually common but can occur. Followings are the common and less severe side effects:
- upset stomach
- loss of appetite
- altered taste
- diarrhea or loose stools
- headache
- dizziness
- fatigue
Followings are more severe diflucan side effects / fluconazole side effects. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of them:
- rash
- itching
- vomiting
- yellowing of the skin or eyes
- dark urine
- pale stools
In case of emergency or overdose, contact your local poison control center. If the patient is not breathing - contact emergency.
