Nexium
Side Effects
(esomeprazole magnesium)
Just like any other medications, there are some unwanted nexium side effects along with its much needed effects. Not all the nexium side effects will be experienced by every person, but it warrants medical attention if any one of the side effects occurs.
Following side effects are mostly common and not considered to be severe. However, you should consult your physician if you experience any one of them:
- headache
- diarrhea
- upset stomach
- gas
- stomach pain
- constipation
- dry mouth
Other than the less severe nexium side affects listed above, there might be some serious side effects. Even thought the following symptoms are uncommon, call your doctor immediately if you experience any on of them:
- hives
- skin rash
- itching
- difficulty breathing or swallowing
- swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
- hoarseness
Store this medication in a tightly closed container that it came in at a room temperature away from excess heat or cold. Just like other medication, keep it way from children.
