Amlodipine Side Effects
Just like any other medications, Norvasc also comes with some side effects. Some of the side effects are common. So if the common side effects don't bother you - there is nothing to be concerned off. However, always consult your doctor if they bother you. There are some rare side effects to this medication as well. Make sure you always contact your doctor if you experience them.
Most common norvasc side effects are:
- swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
- headache
- upset stomach
- stomach pain
- dizziness or lightheadedness
- drowsiness
- excessive tiredness
- flushing (feeling of warmth)
Rare and serious norvasc side effects are:
- more frequent or more severe chest pain
- rapid, pounding, or irregular heartbeat
- fainting
There might be other side effects as well. Contact your doctor if you are experiencing any other effects due this medication.
If you are taking norvasc tablets on a regular basis, check with your doctor regularly to know about the progress. That way your doctor can determine whether the drug is working for you or not and adjust the norvasc dosage accordingly.
