ZYPREXA Side Effects

Almost all the medications have potential side effects. Zyprexa is not an exception. Along with its much needed beneficial effects, there are some Zyprexa side effects associated with this medications. For a complete list of side affects and whether any of them can impact your health, consult your physician. 

Most common side effect found in the clinical trials is drowsiness. Other side effects that may be associated with zyprexa are:

• dry mouth

• dizziness

•  feelings of weakness

• constipation

• upset stomach

•  increased appetite

•  mild trembling

Some people under this medication have reported weight gain. If you are concerned about weight gain or experience weight gain, consult your doctor. 

Also, some patients have reported having seizures under zyprexa or similar medication. If you had previous history of having seizures or have medical conditions that may cause seizures in the future, make sure you tell that to your doctor immediately. 

It is not known whether this medication has any impact on pregnancy since it was not studied in pregnancy. However, if you are breast-feeding or if you are pregnant, consult your doctor to be safe.
